It is kinda sad to see pieces of the game that seemed promising in the alphas just get dropped. Like, not the bs marketing. Even if I dislike the HN franchise, and people can rant about how cringe it is until we’re all dead, it’s sad to see a project get worse over time. I guess I’ve seen too many stories of devs being screwed by companies who just want them to churn out crap asap under crappy scenarios… Like obviously some devs are suspect or crappy people, but with multiple teams making something for an established developer, that common story of going from ‘wanting to make a solid project we care about’ to ‘we had to cut 40% of the content because ridiculous time constraints/because people up-top keep promising crap that’s not viable’ always sucks to see. Not that it’s immediately applicable here, but it just reminded me.

This kind of reminded me a little of Eve Online. I played it in Beta and when it first released, got bored as hell and quit. I've since had a college buddy basically drop out due to playing Eve Online all day, every day and another one, another college buddy who I later worked with, try to recruit me into being an employee for him and he would pay me in game to complete things for him. I found that stupid as hell as I didn't want to work then go home and go in a fake universe. Hard pass.

I got the game for free on PS+ and beat it. I admit I had zero expectations coming in and figured it would suck, but I actually enjoyed it.

Mental Health Issues are not something to take lightly, they are not something to laugh at, and he deserves sympathy for what he is going through. But at the same time, he knows that he is emotionally unstable and unproductive, and he simply should not be charging people money for something that he knows will most likely not be what he promised. I feel for people with disabilities, and I would consider crippling mental health issues as a disability. But in the same way that someone who was born with no legs probably shouldn't try to get olympic gold in sprinting, or someone without arms probably shouldn't try to become an NBA player, in the same way someone who is just mentaly not capable of following through on something should not be making an Early Access game. And the fact that he is making all of the same mistakes and shows all of the same behaviours this time as he was last time, shows us that he has learned nothing. The only positive right now is that at the very least he doesn't seem to have any way to give him money for Cube World Omega yet, unlike what he did with Cube World, but if at ANY point during this thing he charges people money in any way before releasing the 100% completed game, then I'm sorry, I'll be out of pity for him. If he makes this as a passion project and eventually releases it when it's 100% complete, then that is fine. I do hope the people who paid for the Alpha and ended up getting something completely unrelated will get this for free, but other than that it would be fine to sell what he made after he made it. But knowing what he now knows, that he simply isn't fit to make Early Access titles, if he decides to ask for money before the product is finished, at that point it's a scam. It doesn't matter wether it's from malicious intent or sheer incompetence, if you know you cannot do something, charge people money to do it anyway, and then not deliver it, that is a scam.

Came here to learn about the sequel of a failed game. Ended up learning the same son of a bitch that's killing Helldivers 2 was the reason this game died too. All my homies hate Alexus Kravchenko.

I have a lot of games on my steam library, but this is the only one I truly regret buying. It was the first game that taught me to look up reviews and gameplay before buying sadly lol. I'm not sure why I never thought I would see a video on the game, but it's cathartic to see someone make a video on this disaster of a game.

I know this is an old video, but I was actually one of these players. I put 26 hours into it, but the most annoying thing to be was the next tier of class unlock for me. I remember getting incredibly upset because the true class I wanted, the sniper class, required a RIDICULOUS amount of time to actually get. I truly do not remember how much, but it was like having to hit level 60 AND getting enough currency, then you'd have to replay the game all the way back to level one. It was not a good system and that upset me enough to stop playing. Then a bit later the servers shut down which also didn't help.

Did no one on the internet during this time learn about the tulip bubble in school because that is exactly what this was just another repeat of the tulip bubble. Im genuinely curious if most people didn’t learn about these concept’s because i never thought about if maybe most people didn’t learn this in school
